The Tynaarlo municipal council has nominated the current mayor Marcel Thijsen for a new term as mayor of the municipality. That happened during the council meeting tonight.
Thijsen has almost completed two terms as mayor in Tynaarlo and has indicated that he wants to run for a third term. He became mayor of the municipality of Tynaarlo in 2014.
The King’s Commissioner Agnes Mulder is now nominating Thijsen to the Minister of the Interior and Kingdom Relations. They will then make an official decision about it. Thijsen will then be reappointed as of December 16 this year.
