Eddy Snelders accepts a prison sentence and will not appeal to the Supreme Court: “He wants to take full responsibility”

Eddy Snelders (67) accepts his prison sentence. The former football commentator is not filing an appeal in cassation. His lawyer, Sanne De Clerck, confirmed this to HLN. Snelders received a total of five years in prison, of which 42 months were suspended. That means 18 months effective. His lawyer does not want to say whether he will actually have to go to prison. “Hopefully peace and serenity can return for the victims.”
