Minister Bak made a statement to members of the press after the match played at Turkcell Basketball Development Center.
Osman Aşkın Bak congratulated the star-crescent team, which guaranteed to advance to the second round of the eliminations, and said:
“Tonight, our national team wrote an epic. It managed to beat a country like Serbia, which is a school of thought in world basketball. 12 Giant Men showed their talents in the European Championship. It is a young and competitive team that is on its way out. We congratulate our coach, our federation, all our spectators and our nation. It is a good success and victory. We made it 4 out of 4. Our esteemed President also called and gave his support. He gives great support to Turkish basketball in every field. FIBA is taking a step towards the 2027 World Cup. “We are getting closer. We thank our players for their sacrifice and coming to the national team. It was a good night for Turkish basketball. We thank the 12 Giant Men for making us experience this night.”
