“Important step for a stronger defense policy”: De Wever supports French nuclear plans

French President Emmanuel Macron is increasing the number of nuclear warheads in the French arsenal and is involving our country, together with seven other European partners, more closely in the French nuclear deterrent. He said this on Monday in a speech at the Île Longue naval base, home to French nuclear submarines near Brest. Prime Minister De Wever responds positively and welcomes the initiative.
