Caroline van der Plas feels quite vulnerable now that Today Inside targets her almost every evening. “They want to destroy me. What did I do to deserve this?” she confided to John de Bever.
It was a big disappointment for Caroline van der Plas’s favorite café: the BBB politician did not want to attend the celebration of their anniversary last week, even though her good friend John de Bever gave a performance there. The reason? She feared that it would come into publicity and that Today Inside would make fun of her again.
Tired of Csroline
Caroline is under a magnifying glass now that she allegedly screwed Mona Keijzer. She was attacked several times last week in Today Inside and now she feels seriously wronged. “I’m getting a bit tired of Caroline,” sighs Johan today in the latest episode of his podcast Greetings from Grolloo.
He continues: “I have nothing against Caroline at all, but her favorite café was celebrating an anniversary in Deventer and John de Bever performed at the festivities and he is very good with Caroline. He called her to ask if she was coming too, with good intentions, and yes, he gets a whole story thrown at him.”
Destroy
What did Caroline say to John the Beaver? Johan: “Well, like: ‘Those guys from Today Inside want to destroy me and then I’ll have to deal with all the misery from those Derksen again. What did I do to deserve this?’ Then I think: yes, Caroline, but just look in the mirror. What did you do to deserve this? You get criticism, but you asked for it.”
The VI mustache continues: “You founded the BBB with a lot of fanfare, you have not been able to do anything for your target group, the farmers, and now through an underhanded trick with Vermeer you throw Mona Keijzer under the bus who has no where to go and who now has to start her own business. That is why you are being criticized from all sides.”
Victim role
Caroline shouldn’t be so mean, Johan thinks. “We are the most colorful in the criticism and that will be quite hard, but she has herself entirely to blame.”
He doesn’t understand why she let her local café suffocate. “She was afraid that if she were to receive publicity again at that party, we would say something about it again. But look, she is now going to play the role of victim, saying: those guys want to destroy me and that Derksen nonsense and so on, but we just criticize with arguments.”
