NoThey will no longer be able to be seen in the company of the Royals, nor appear in official photos. Beatrice and Eugenie of Yorkvictims of the Epstein scandal, are unexpectedly banned just like their father Andrea and mother Sarah Ferguson. For them there will no longer be the annual Ascot horse racing events, the Trooping The Colour of King Charles’ birthday, the Wimbledon tournament, i Garden Party of Buckingham Palace and state receptions at court. If invited to a Royal Wedding or a funeral they will have to keep to themselves to avoid the risk of being photographed with relatives. And they will no longer be able to appear in the traditional Christmas walk among the crowds at Sandringham. Ultimately, the Royals decided to distance themselves from them too.

Beatrice and Eugenie of York banned by King Charles

What convinced the sovereign to make the decision, and thus determine the fate of the two princesses, was the recent, continuous scrutiny by the British media on the personal affairs of Beatrice, 37, and Eugenie, 35. Their name appears too many times in their parents’ private correspondence Andrea and Sarah Ferguson with the pedophile billionaire, recently made public in the United States. And very young, they had even met him, escorted by Fergie.

Media doubts haunt Beatrice and Eugenie of York

More recently, both have tried to protect their parents. Beatrice was at her father’s side in organizing Andrea’s interview with BBC in 2019, while also managing its disastrous consequences. And with Eugenia he had also advised a defense strategy for her mother, for years “financed” by Epstein. How much did the two sisters know, then, of Andrea and Sarah’s involvement in the sordid dealings of the American entrepreneur? While waiting for a definitive answer, the doubt was enough to proclaim the ban from the court.

The princesses won’t be at the Ascot races

Ascot will be the first public event to see Beatrice and Eugenia absent. Buckingham Palace would have sent them a formal request, asking both to stay away from the event, one of the most important in the annual Royal calendar. Not only will the two Yorks not be able to attend the prestigious horse races, which this year will be held from 16 to 20 June, but they will not even be able to be part of the traditional carriage procession that begins the races every day.

The poor Yorks see their dream at court fade away

Even though they aren’t working Royal and cannot officially represent the king, until outbreak of Andrea’s scandal the future of Beatrice and Eugenia had appeared more than rosy. William, in particular, aimed to capitalize on the affection that the English had for the two sisters, entrusting them with important roles.

Charles’s sudden move caught the Yorks by surprise

Beatrice, in particular, would have taken it rather badly, inconsolable and disconcerted by her uncle’s decision. The spontaneous decision to keep as far away from her parents as possible, visiting them only occasionally, in private and away from prying eyes, was of no avail. The reputation of the two Yorks is already too damaged for the Royals. At least for the irreproachable and spotless ones that the future King William proposes.
