Dramatic start for AZ visiting FC Utrecht. Yoann Cathline receives the ball from a corner and curls the ball out of the reach of Rome-Jayden Owusu-Oduro. The Frenchman’s ball does not seem unstoppable.

AZ wants to maintain the good feeling of Thursday against FC Noah. We started in Utrecht.

FC Volendam records a very important victory against relegation thanks to a late goal from Mühren. The 36-year-old is once again making a difference for the eel farmers.

What a moment to score! Precious Ugwu’s shot hits the post, but Robert Mühren hits the target.

FC Volendam still had to defend its lead in six minutes of injury time. However, Thom van Bergen hurts the home team. He taps the ball into the goal from close range. The VAR also allows the goal to stand.

Robert Mühren reaches the ball earlier than goalkeeper Etiënne Vaessen. The Volendammer’s slider rolls painfully slowly next to the Groningen goal.

Thom van Bergen gets a good shooting opportunity on the other side. Kayne van Oevelen saves the bet. Groningen Juninho Bacuna still makes minutes in the final phase at Volendam.

Mats Seuntjens shoots a free kick hard towards the Volendam goal. Kayne van Oevelen releases the ball, after which Oskar Zawada’s rebound also goes wide. Lucky for Volendam.

Rick Kruys then changes two players. Ozan Kökcü and Bilal Ould-Chikh come to the side for Alex Plat and Joel Ideho.

Robin van Cruijsen is relatively free. The midfielder rams the ball over the FC Groningen goal, which has more residents.

A sad departure from Stije Resink. The captain of FC Groningen receives a slap from Robert Mühren. Resink has to be carried off the field on a stretcher.

On the other hand, Groningen immediately gets a chance. Kayne van Oevelen keeps his team going with a great save.

Just before the end of the first half, FC Groningen gets a great opportunity. Defender Thijmen Blokzijl pushes the ball just wide of Volendam’s goal.

Brandley Kuwas stands behind the ball and hits the ball flawlessly. It’s right!

Yannick Leliendal is pulled to the ground by Tygo Land. Referee Patrick Martens does not see a penalty, but the VAR calls him to the side. After viewing the images, Martens reconsiders his decision.

Brandley Kuwas tries for a while, but seems unable to continue. He has too much pain in his shoulder.

At least five minutes will be added.

After FC Groningen’s opening goal, the chances for both teams remain few. Benjamin Pauwels clutches his hamstring and seems unable to continue.

Aurelio Oehlers comes into the team for Pauwels.

It’s been a while coming. There is FC Groningen’s opening goal. Younes Taha’s free kick comes straight in front of the goal and Stije Resink heads in.

FC Volendam is not yet involved in the opening phase. FC Groningen is stringing together opportunities, but is not yet pulling the trigger.

Is FC Volendam taking more distance from the relegation zone? The ball rolls.

The start of the second half of the season has been disastrous for the Amsterdam hockey players. The top match against Den Bosch ended in a defeat (1-2). As a result, the people from Brabant take over third place in the main class.

The year does not start positively for Pinoké (defeat against SCHC, 3-0) and Bloemendaal (1-1 against Rotterdam). Hurley from Amstelveen is far too strong for HGC (0-4).

Ajax gets away very well with a draw in Zwolle. It remains 0-0.

Fred Grim’s team was therefore only able to partially benefit from NEC’s defeat against Fortuna Sittard. After 25 games, Ajax is in third place with 1 point more than NEC. PEC is twelfth with 28 points.

Koen Kostons hits the target for PEC Zwolle. However, he does so from an offside position, so the celebration for the home team does not continue.

Kasper Dolberg and Takehiro Tomiyasu come on for Owen Wijndal and Wout Weghorst. Can they help Ajax get over the dead center?

Maarten Paes makes a good save from a shot by mercenary Tristan Gooijer. The goalkeeper made a mistake a few minutes ago, but the goalie also corrects that well.

Steven Berghuis and Kian Fitz-Jim make an appearance for Ajax. Davy Klaassen and Rayane Bounida leave.

First big chance for the Amsterdam team. Youri Regeer hits the ball hard towards the goal with her left hand. Goalkeeper Tom de Graaff just taps the ball over. So far, PEC also has the greatest opportunities after half-time. For example, a failed cross from Thijs Oosting ends up on the crossbar.

Can Ajax achieve more in the second half? The ball rolls again in Zwolle.

From a shot from Davy Klaassen’s turn, the ball ends up on the hand of a PEC defender in the penalty area. The VAR calls referee Sander van der Eijk to the side. It remains to be seen whether it will be a penalty.

Van der Eijk takes a long time to decide, but does not give a penalty.

Ajax still cannot create a chance in Zwolle. The game of the Amsterdam team is particularly weak.

Wout Weghorst’s shot just now is also very typical. The striker shoots the ball sky high with his left hand.

Youri Regeer plays the ball past the Ajax goal. Lucas Rosa drops Shola Shoretire, but referee Sander van der Eijk and VAR do not see a penalty.

Ajax is having a hard time with PEC Zwolle in the first minutes of the match. It is mainly thanks to the people of Zwolle that the score is 0-0.

The ball rolls in Zwolle. Can Ajax benefit from NEC’s defeat?

Ajax has won the last nine away matches with PEC Zwolle in the competition. The Amsterdam team has only recorded more consecutive away victories in the Premier League against Willem II (thirteen in 1960-1988), FC Volendam (eleven in 1962-1988) and RKC Waalwijk (ten in 2010-2024).
