Albuquerque. Carol Sturka is an accomplished romance novelist, acclaimed by her audience. One evening she finds herself involved in a post-apocalyptic situation; everyone around her is suddenly frozen and in strange convulsions.
He soon realizes that the world has been hit by a strange virus created in the laboratory using impulses coming from six hundred years ago and she is one of thirteen immune people. Pluribus is a series signed by Vince Gilligan, the creator of breaking Bad (and the location is the same) who here puts to good use the experience gained as a screenwriter of some episodes of The X-Files.

The virus that is shaking the world has infected the population, leading them to act and think as one collective mindwhere we speak with “We” and where everyone knows everything about everyone and there don’t seem to be any more secrets. Carol (played by Rhea Seehorn, already present in Better Call Saul) is thus constantly chased by people who appear happy, generous and helpful, all intent on bringing her a bit of “happiness” too.
The series is a disturbing metaphor of a society of control in which the development of artificial intelligence risks leading to a progressive loss of individuality. For lovers of dystopian series that depict apocalyptic yet tremendously current worlds.
