Yvon Jaspers is receiving a lot of criticism. According to presenter Lex Uiting, she dresses too glamorous during the recording of Boerzoekt Vrouw. “She’s just completely seated full in the glam.”
Yvon Jaspers has been the trusted figurehead of Boerzoekt Vrouw for years and years, but according to RTL Boulevard star Lex Uiting, she has lost touch with the ordinary farmer over the years. And he is quite disappointed about that. “Can I give one tiny point of criticism?” he says at the desk show section.
Fully glam
Lex thinks Yvon has become too glamorous. “I’m a fan of the program. I always watch it, just like the rest of the Netherlands. I like that you see the province, the real Netherlands. Of course, I love that very much.”
He continues: “And then she comes to very normal people, but yes full in the glamespecially with make-up and trendy clothes. Then I think: you want to identify with the farmers and be on the same level, but because of how you look…
Rolling out of bed
Reporter Aran Bade finds it interesting. “That won’t work anymore then?”
Lex: “No!”
Presenter Frank Dane: “What should she do then?”
Lex: “Well, just: how she gets out of bed, go, onto the farm. Of course!”
Miljuschka Witzenhausen: “Yes, hello Lex! Stop it!”
A little sauce
Aran wonders what’s behind it. “Is this because she is a woman? But I get your point: she has placed herself a bit beyond the farmer?”
Miljuschka: “I don’t agree with it at all. We are busy making TV. That needs some sauce.”
Lex: “Yes, but she wants to show real life and connect with those farmers.”
Superlative
Miljuschka thinks it’s nonsense. “Yvon Jaspers has become a kind of superlative, a star. I also think it’s fantastic that she has immersed herself in agriculture over all these years. In this way, she has completely immersed herself in farm life. That doesn’t mean that you have to go on TV in your pajamas with unwashed hair and without make-up.”
Lex: “Of course. That makes a farmer feel much easier.”
Inspiration
In any case, Aran thinks that Yvon has become too arrogant. “I do think: more enthusiasm about the program is needed. For example, we want to speak to her, because those six farmers are being presented, but she doesn’t.”
“She no longer does interviews. If you are passionate about your program, you just come. She may not like it anymore, but it’s just part of it.”
