The opening stage of the Moto2 season, the Thailand Grand Prix, was held at the 4,554 kilometer Chang International Circuit in the Buriram region.
In the race, where Red Bull athlete Deniz Öncü started from the 17th position, red flags were raised due to 2 separate accidents in the first laps and the race was then restarted.
In the first race of the season in Thailand, Spanish rider Manuel Gonzalez from the Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact team finished in first place, Spanish motorcyclist Izan Guevara from Blu Cru Pramac Yamaha team finished in second place, and Spanish pilot Daniel Holgado racing for the CFMoto Inde Aspar team finished in third place.
Crescent-star motorcyclist Deniz Öncü completed the first stage of the Moto2 season, the Thailand Grand Prix, in 9th place.
The second leg of the Moto2 World Championship season will be held in Brazil on 20-22 March.
