Former NBA star Chris Bosh suffered a terrifying seizure. He tells about what happened on his Instagram account and in a blog post.
Bosh had been getting ready for a date with his wife when he suddenly lost feeling in his left leg. Moments later, he lost consciousness.
– I woke up covered in my own blood, Bosh describes.
When Bosh woke up, his wife was on the phone with 911. Bosh says he tried to get up, but his body wouldn’t respond to the commands.
– I just had to surrender. It was a shocking event, the likes of which I have never experienced before. That’s when I understood that everything can collapse in one moment without warning, Bosh writes.
The basketball legend does not elaborate on what diagnosis he received. He says in a video posted on Instagram that he is still recovering.
– I am grateful that I am still alive.
Bosh had to end his sports career due to frequent blood clots. In 2015, he suffered from a life-threatening pulmonary embolism.
