Marco Reus has extended his contract with Los Angeles Galaxy. The former Dortmund player is now tied until the end of 2027, as the MLS club announced on Saturday.

“Marco brings an incredible level of quality, experience and leadership to our team,” said LA Galaxy General Manager Will Kuntz. “His professionalism makes everyone around him better and his influence both in the dressing room and on the pitch is immeasurable. We are delighted that he will continue to play such an important role for our club.”

Reus came to the Californians in the summer of 2024 and celebrated winning the MLS Cup with the Galaxy. However, the team missed the playoffs in 2025. In 42 competitive games, the Dortmund native has contributed 22 goals so far; nine own goals and 13 assists. Reus also started the new MLS season with an assist during the week. In the 1-1 draw against Orlando, he prepared João Klauss’ opening goal. The second game of the season against Charlotte is on Sunday night (to the MLS table).
