Leading figures in the Make America Great Again movement – including former Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, commentator Tucker Carlson, conspiracy theorist Alex Jones and notorious Manosphere influencer Andrew Tate – are angry at Donald Trump over military strikes against Iran, which began on Saturday night.
Tucker Carlson, who visited the White House just last week, told ABC News’ Jonathan Karl that the decision to attack Iran was “absolutely disgusting and evil.”

Greene and Carlson in a rage
“This is heartbreaking and tragic. And how many more innocent people will die?” she wrote in another post. “What about our own soldiers? This is not what MAGA should be. Shame!”
Taylor Greene, who resigned from Congress in January, has long been at loggerheads with the president over his foreign policy decisions and the lack of transparency in the Epstein files.
Republicans in Congress are also critical. “I am against this war. This is not ‘America First,'” Republican Rep. Thomas Massie wrote on X. “When Congress reconvenes, I will be with you [dem demokratischen Abgeordneten Ro Khanna] work together to force a vote in Congress on war with Iran. The constitution requires a vote and your representative must have a clear position – for or against.”
Rand Paul against presidential war
Republican Senator Rand Paul wrote on social media: “The Constitution gave Congress the power to declare or initiate war for good reason – to make war less likely… As with any war, my first and purest impulse is to wish American soldiers safety and success in their mission. But my oath of office is to the Constitution, and so I must, with careful consideration, reject another presidential war.”
“There is a high probability that Iran will activate terrorist sleeper cells within the United States in the coming days and weeks,” Jones wrote on X. “Trump’s HUGE gamble is accelerating the world toward nuclear world war.”
“Why would a war with Iran benefit anyone in America?” Tate said.
Nick Fuentes begs Trump
The right-wing extremist influencer Nick Fuentes addressed Trump directly on
The United States and Israel began bombing Iran without congressional approval in an operation dubbed “Epic Fury.” The president announced the “major hostilities,” which he described as “massive and ongoing,” in a video on Truth Social. He called on the Iranian people to “take over your government” once the attacks were completed. “The hour of your freedom has come,” he said.
Trump is monitoring the operation not from the White House but from Mar-a-Lago, his private club in Palm Beach, Florida – just as he did last month when the US arrested Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro.
Experts warn of a long conflict
The New York Times editorial board described Trump’s actions as “reckless.”
Iran has responded with counterstrikes across the Middle East region, targeting Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Bahrain, where an Iranian cruise missile hit a U.S. naval base. The United States and its allies intercepted many of the retaliatory attacks.
Experts have warned that a war with Iran could lead to a protracted conflict because Iran has an extensive and diverse missile arsenal that can reach several U.S. military bases in the region.
