A KLM spokesperson told NH this. The plane took off from Amsterdam last night, before the news of the attacks was known. The spokesperson could not say how many passengers were on board or whether other flights were stranded after the recent attacks by Israel and the United States on Iran.
Earlier today, KLM canceled the only scheduled flight to Tel Aviv. According to a spokesperson, this will no longer take place “for safety reasons”. Israeli authorities have also halted civil aviation in the country in preparation for possible Iranian counterattacks.
The attacks may have even more consequences for KLM flights to the Middle East. The airline is still mapping this out.
Several airspaces closed
