A man was taken to a hospital from Oisterwijk in critical condition on Friday evening. The man was staying in a hotel on Almystraat and became unconscious. Moments before, hotel guests heard noise and commotion from the hotel room.
The police were called because of the noise and commotion. When officers wanted to enter the man’s hotel room, he became unconscious and had to be resuscitated for a long time.
A spokesperson could not say whether the man became unwell during the police deployment. Eight police cars, three ambulances and the mobile medical team arrived on the scene. The man was taken to hospital in critical condition after being unconscious for 45 minutes.
Hotel guests who were outside their rooms were not allowed to return to their rooms during the deployment. The police are investigating the case.
