The morning starts gray and cloudy, although NH weatherman Jan Visser sees some clearing in the Haarlemmermeer, around Amsterdam, in the Zaanstreek and ‘t Gooi. “It remains cloudy in the rest of the province,” he says.
It will remain dry in most places, but some rain or drizzle may fall later in the morning. The chance of rain increases further in the afternoon and evening.
The temperature rises to about 12 to 13 degrees. It remains a bit cooler on the coast with temperatures around 9 to 10 degrees. The southwest wind is moderate along the coast, but can be somewhat stronger on the IJsselmeer.
Sun, clouds and showers also alternate during the weekend. “On the last day of February the sun will not really show itself,” says Visser. The temperature fluctuates around 11 to 12 degrees.
It seems to remain largely dry on Sunday, although that is not yet entirely certain, according to Visser. “It remains on the high side for this time of year at 11 to 12 degrees.”
After the weekend the weather looks much better: the sun will shine, it will remain dry and temperatures will rise to 14 to 15 degrees.
