Kalashnikov kidnapping at McDonald’s drive-in in France goes wrong: perpetrators had wrong victim

A visit to the McDonald’s drive-in turned out differently than expected for a 19-year-old French young man. The Frenchman was violently kidnapped last Saturday by masked men with Kalashnikovs at the drive-through of a McDonald’s in Avignon, in the south of France. Remarkably, a few hours later he was released again along a road. According to the Avignon public prosecutor’s office, the young man was kidnapped by mistake. No suspect has been arrested yet.
