Life has become on average 1.45 percent more expensive in February 2026 than in February a year ago. In concrete terms, this means that an average family that spent 100 euros in February 2025 now pays approximately 101 euros and 45 cents for the same shopping cart. Beef and airline tickets in particular have risen in price. Medicines are also following this trend after making the biggest jump in 20 years last month.
