THEsecond evening of Sanremo 2026 it was one long night of passion and music. The 15 singers competing they took turns with the crowded presence of 3 co-hosts. Pilar Fogliati, Lillo and above all Achille Lauro they helped make the festival more carefree and pleasant compared to the flat calm of the first day. They valorized Carlo Conti and Laura Pausini, which still lacks harmony. Among the New Proposals and a sporting touch with the Olympic athletes, the Sanremo bandwagon has taken the right measures.
Sanremo 2026: second evening report cards, top and flop singers
Patty Pravo, Operarating: 7
Patty Pravo was greeted by an ovationsincere applause and joyful shouts. Dressed in red velvet she appearedso very blonde, like a priestess from a distant planet. Opera, the piece written by Giovanni Caccamo, she is delicate and strong like her singer. A vocal virtuosity that did not disfigure live. What style and grace, Miss Pravo.
LDA & Aka 7even, Clandestine poemsrating: 6
Clandestine poems it’s many things: It’s cute, catchy and by the recognizable Neapolitan rhythm. The two singers have fun singing it, and it shows. A moment of joy that pierced the veil of Sanremo melodrama, made up of painful songs and always full of complaints. Optimal! it’s a shame that the Neapolitan imprint, though, gets too close to Soul and Core by Serena Brancale.
Enrico Nigiotti, Whenever I don’t know how to flyrating: 6
On first listen Every time I don’t know how to fly, curiously devoid of refrain, it already looked oldbelonging to a past time. In the second performance, instead, the singer brought out his voice and determinationgiving him the right sense of restlessness and anger. The old-fashioned feeling hasn’t changedas well as the idea that Enrico Nigiotti deserves another chance (and another song).

Thomas Paradiso, The romanticsrating: 5
Tommaso Paradiso playing Tommaso Paradiso. The song The romantics it could only be his. The unmistakable sound, a fake spontaneous text that seems to be born in one go and instead it comes from afar, at least 30 years ago. A song to listen to during a traffic jam on the highway, with your head lost in romantic thoughts of old lost flames. His loyal audience deserved more.
Elettra Lamborghini, Voilarating: 4
With a dazzling light silver dress and a choreography of dancers with ostrich feathers, Elettra Lamborghini perfectly embodied the tamarra part of the evening. A song that would like to evoke Raffaella Carrà (sacrilege) and the malice of making love from Trieste downwards. Instead, she lost herself in a disco-dance rhythm of the Italian province of the nineties.
Ermal Meta, Little starrating: 6
As promised, also in the second evening Ermal Meta he sewed the name of one of the children on himself victim of Gaza. Partly hypnotic nursery rhyme, partly oriental pop with gypsy-like sounds Goran Bregović. Little star the theater audience liked it a lot, perhaps because it is the only similarly engaged text of this edition. Pretty, well sung but nothing more.
Sanremo 2026, Levante, It’s yourating: 7/8
Everyone has already said it: Levante is the only Big to have written the song alone. And it’s beautiful, very beautiful and exciting. Perfectly capable of describing in voice and words the physical reactions of falling in love. Her look, in bright silvery blue and gathered hair, underlines the romantic and poignant mood of the piece.
Rag dolls, Stay with me, rating: 6/7
Rag dolls they promise feminine determination and lots and lots of rock. Nevertheless, Stay with me he didn’t find many things in common with the genre he would like to refer to. More than a song of Hole, it seemed much more Sanremo than expected. The singer’s voicethe guitars in the wind and that touch of independence between the words, however, convinces.
Chiello, I always think of yourating: 6/7
Dressed like a rock star with messy hair, Chiello he sang with a faint voice I always think of you. The mood is right: desperate for love, almost angry at the broken heart, underlined by a punk-like rhythm. A song that, upon first listening, is very simple. Then, minute after minute, enters the head like a rock’n’roll breath.
J-Ax, Italy starter packrating: 7
Banjo, violin, atmosphere and western dancing. J-Ax cheered up Ariston with one unlikely, very cheerful and enthralling country song. Him, dressed in black encrusted with white embroidery like an oilman from the 80s serieshe seems to seriously believe it and we with him. The ovation from the audience it has arrived effortlessly.
Nayt, Beforerating: 6
Before And a song that promises but, for now, doesn’t deliver. A complex piecelittered with words that are never obvious and of great depth which lacks the righteous anger of urban rap. Who knows if on the next occasion Nayt will find the motivation and intensity hidden until now?
Thunderbolts, Stupid bad luck, rating: 7/8
One of the favorites of this editionFulminacci really strikes with a painful and true song. The interpretation, the rhythm, the presence on stage, everything works in line with the light-hearted and semi-dramatic mood of the song. Whether he wins or not, This song won’t be easily forgotten.
Fedez & Marco Masini, Necessary evilrating: 6/7
A thousand miles away in terms of vocalitygenre and inspiration, Fedez and Marco Masini work togetheryes!. They demonstrated it last year with the revisited cover of Bitchthey confirm it this year with this Necessary evil. Musically closer to Masini but with a never useless touch of Fedez, it’s a pandering song but with touches of pure sincerity.

Dargen D’Amico, Ai airating: 7/8
Dargen D’Amico he walked the stage dressed as an Indian chief (or rather, from an Indian tent with an Indian chief inside). Then, he unleashed a critical piece against Artificial Intelligence and Italy which is missing out on the real part of life. All mixed with a captivating chorus and an 80s feeling. What more could you want from him?
Totonellapiaga, How annoying!rating: 7
Pink and black for Totonellapiagawith a cheeky tail and long eyelashes. The singer performed with excellent mimicry in the already recognized catchphrase of this edition. A syncopated list of annoying things all accompanied by a techno beat. Fun and enjoyable.

Sanremo 2026, co-host report cards
Sanremo 2026, Achille Lauro, rating: 8
Achille Lauro he is in Sanremo like a fish in an aquarium. Dazzling white suit, gelled hair and a Marie Antoinette necklace, it drove the Ariston public of both sexes crazy. He said goodbye and came down the theater. He smiled and there were hysterical scenes. He sang March 16 paired with Laura Pausini and it was delirious. The tribute to the victims of Crans Montana moved everyone. He is the king of the festival.

Sanremo 2026, Lillo Petrolo, vote: 6
Lillo, the comic part of the second eveninghe really had little time to develop a detailed gag. Instead he limited himself to two or three feeble bouts thanks to Carlo Conti, always with the stopwatch in his hand. A few flashes paired with Laura Pausini but nothing more. A wasted opportunity.
Pilar Fogliati, rating: 6/7
The young and beautiful actress, now among the most requested in contemporary Italian cinema, she perfectly played the role of co-host. Sparkling, cheerful and in a shiny dove-coloured dress, alternating with an elegant black, he played with the mischief of his characters in just a few minutes, caricatures of a certain Roman gynaeceum. Promoted.

Gianluca Gazzoli, rating: 6/7
He appeared not very spontaneous and empathetic, he spoke in bursts without pauses as if he thought he was still on the radio. Despite his long experience on stage, Gianluca Gazzoli he doesn’t seem comfortable and gives the sensation of reading, here and there, from some imaginary teleprompter. It creates anxiety just looking at it. When he confessed that he had recently lost his mother, everything became clear. A moment of pain and fragility that made him decidedly more human and dear.

Sanremo 2026, New Proposals report cards: who goes to the final
Sanremo 2026, Nicolò Filippucci, Lagoon, rating: 7
Stage presence, in tune voiceintelligent lyrics and Sanremo melody (the beautiful ones). Nicolò Filippucci unleashed a great song class to make some Big names envious of this edition. He beat the Blind, El Ma & Sonikoa very young trio who proposed a dance songhalf sung, half spoken, which will please summer beach parties. So-so voices, unspontaneous ballet and an adolescent text.
Sanremo 2026, Angelica Bove, Brickrating: 6
A beautiful voice available to a song which has its point of attack not far from the mood of Coldplay. A melody with a faded tone and not very incisive. However, he beat Mazzariello, a very young man with a mischievous mustache and a guitar in his arms, rI remember Fabio Concato in his ways and sounds (a little Stadium and a little Baptist). A song with full rhythm but thin, too thin to leave its mark.
