Norwegian bonus prince Marius Borg Høibyn the claim that Marius had a child was presented in the criminal trial on Friday.

A friend of the victim who testified at the trial on Friday said that Marius told the victim that he had a child and showed him a picture of the child.

Norwegian newspaper VG says that he will publish the information, despite the fact that it is an unconfirmed claim. According to the newspaper, such information has not been made public before, and VG was unable to verify whether the claim is true.

According to VG’s information, Marius would have denied having children in 2024 during interrogations. Marius has not yet been asked whether he is liable for maintenance in court. According to the Norwegian newspaper, maintenance obligations are sometimes asked in connection with legal proceedings.

Vg asked Marius’ lawyer Ellen Holager from Andenæsdoes Marius have a child and did Marius show the victim pictures of his child.

– This is unknown information to us and we want to urge you not to spread such rumors, the lawyer said in his e-mail, adding that he cannot deny the matter, which he knows nothing about.

Later, the defense responded to the Norwegian newspaper’s requests for comment that they had nothing to add. Nor did the Norwegian Police’s security service comment on the matter or the effect of a possible child on the threat assessment of the royal family.

Born in January 1997, Marius Borg Høiby is the first son of Norwegian Crown Princess Mette-Marit from her previous relationship. Marius has no royal title. Mette-Marit’s younger children, Ingrid Alexandra and Sverre Magnus, were born from her marriage to Crown Prince Haakon.
