Ozzy Osbourne’s widow has revealed some literally dirty “tricks” on how she kept the singer off drugs and alcohol.
It is well known that Ozzy Osbourne fought a not always easy battle against alcohol and drug abuse throughout his life. This behavior seriously damaged his health until he managed to remain abstinent in 2014.
Now his remaining wife and long-time manager, Sharon Osbourne, has revealed the hair-raising tactics she used to stop the singer from picking up bottles and other substances.
Visiting Bunnie Xo’s podcast “Dumb Blonde” Sharon recalled some of the extreme measures she took to stop him from drinking and taking drugs. She previously accused the influencer of a video in which mother Osbourne asked daughter Kelly to poop in a bag of marijuana when she was younger.
Laughing, Sharon confirmed this method and added that it also caused Jack to leave feces everywhere, which didn’t seem good for Ozzy.
“He hid alcohol in the oven because I don’t cook and he knew I would never open the oven. So there were bottles there,” she continued. “So I rubbed the liquor bottles into the baby’s diaper.”

Stopping an addict from continuing to use drugs and alcohol is not an easy task, Sharon said. Therefore, she felt that the only way to stop Ozzy from using them was to contaminate the substances. “As a young woman I thought: This will stop him, it smells like shit! He won’t drink this,” she said. The mission often succeeded. When the musician tried to drink one of the bottles, the smell made him vomit.
After more than a decade of complete sobriety but with numerous serious illnesses, Ozzy Osbourne died on July 22, 2025. Just a few days earlier, he appeared on stage for the last time in Birmingham with his band Black Sabbath.
