After a trial week, Today Inside has decided to continue with the daily Lucky TV films for the time being, but not everyone is enthusiastic about that. “A hand-me-down from DWDD.”
Sander van de Pavert has again found a medium to sell his Lucky TV videos: Today Inside will broadcast his videos daily. The program had a trial week last week and it apparently went well. René van der Gijp in particular finds the videos in which Sander records current images in a different voice very funny.
DWDD hand-me-down
Does the enthusiasm extend beyond the VI table? Angela de Jong doesn’t like it yet; Last week she couldn’t laugh at the many parodies of Caroline van der Plas in the celebrity crying show on SBS 6. “I didn’t think it was that great,” she sneers in the AD Media Podcast. “Do they really need that, those cast-offs from DWDD?”
Viewers of VI are also not particularly enthusiastic. “It’s nice that the men of Today like Inside Lucky TV, but are there also viewers who like that? If not outdated,” says one Martijn on X.
Neither side nor shore
Sjaak is not enthusiastic either. “That Lucky TV doesn’t make any sense at Today Inside.”
One Nop: “I’m very happy with it, a nice moment to grab a drink or go to the toilet… 😉 How bad that Lucky TV is. Stop that or throw it on the internet.”
And Martijn: “Can you stop Lucky TV? That was never funny; it is not funny and will never be funny. Really a Hilversum bubble thing: made each other believe that it is funny.”
Not a good service
It is really unprecedented: there are only negative reactions from VI viewers. Ron continues: “Lucky TV wasn’t funny on De Wereld Draait Door, but it was even less funny on Today Inside. The program isn’t doing itself a favor with those super lame videos.”
And Steven concludes: “In Today Inside, the Lucky TV items are very bland and certainly not even a fraction of the fun of his previous content. Is Sander losing his mojo?”
