The federal government’s pension reform must be reexamined, the Council of State believes. In a new opinion, the Council is particularly critical of important measures such as the abolition of the pension bonus and inadequate transitional measures for people under the age of 59 that are not sufficiently substantiated. According to Minister Jan Jambon (N-VA), the bill can still be approved “with some technical adjustments”.
