Radiohead form Futile Endeavors Limited – all five members are on the management team. Fans know the pattern: Such steps herald new projects for the band.

The British band Radiohead has been back since the end of 2025 – basically. In November and December 2025, the musicians played 20 shows across Europe, delighting thousands of fans. Now there is news about the group that could fuel speculation and make fans’ hearts beat faster.

New company = new album??

Radiohead have launched a new project – although it’s not exactly new music, but rather the founding of a company. On Thursday 19 February 2026, all five members of the group – Thom Yorke, Jonny Greenwood, Colin Greenwood, Ed O’Brien and Philip Selway – were named as limited directors of a new company called Futile Endeavors Limited. This is the band’s private company, registered in the UK, and is independent of all other labels in the music industry.

There are still no confirmations of work on new projects. Nevertheless, the new formation implies that Radiohead are planning something for the future. In the past, the group had already announced important activities by establishing its own legal entities – including a new LLP in March 2025, which was then followed by the European tour at the end of the year. So whether fans can look forward to new music or a new album soon remains to be seen.

Radiohead follows patterns of the past

The founding of new companies before the release of new musical projects is typical for the “Creep” interpreters. They released their last studio album “A Moon Shaped Pool” in 2016, after Dawn Chorus LLP had been founded a few months earlier. The same pattern emerged in 2021: Spin with a Grin LLP was formed six months before the release of the reissue of Kid A Mnesia. It therefore seems quite unlikely that no new project is planned this time.

Radiohead have been independent since the release of “Hail to the Thief” in 2003, when the band split from EMI/Parlophone.

An official statement from the band about the new company and its meaning is still pending. Fans can still keep their ears open for new music.
