Arrest Warrant speaks openly about his massive relapse after the Netflix documentary.

The Netflix documentary about the German rapper Arrest Warrant was released on October 28, 2025. The snapshots shown shocked many fans: The musician made his poor health public and admitted that he had been suffering from a serious cocaine addiction that had lasted for years. Now he provided new insights into his current condition.

Relapse after Netflix documentary

In the fifth episode of the RTL+ podcast “Nina and Aykut”, arrest warrant, real name Aykut Anhan, reports on his current relationship with intoxicants. He stated that he suffered a massive relapse immediately after filming his Netflix documentary “Babo: The Arrest Warrant Story”.

The documentary actually marked a new beginning in the rapper’s life and was supposed to be the end of a dark era. But according to his own statements, he was standing in his own way, as he admitted in the podcast: “I didn’t give a f*ck.” In addition to cocaine, he also consumed large amounts of cannabis and alcohol.

Low point after death of Xatar

Arrest Warrant allegedly experienced the lowest point of his fall in July 2025 after the death of rapper Xatar. According to his own statements, this hit the now 40-year-old so hard that he fell into a coma as a result of his consumption. In the music business, Xatar was something of a mentor and best friend for arrest warrant: “He was actually my best friend in the music business. That ruins a lot of things.”

Xatar was found dead in his apartment in Cologne in May 2025 and died at the age of 43. To protect the family, the cause of death has not been revealed to this day. However, Aykut Anhan made it clear that drugs were not the reason for his friend’s death.

A ray of hope after a relapse

Despite the bad news about his relapse, the “069” interpreter said he had stabilized again. He spent six weeks in a rehab clinic in Villingen-Schwenningen. He recently thanked his fans for their loyalty on Instagram.

His live comeback is already planned. The musician has a lot planned for 2026: Among other things, he is confirmed as the top act for the World Club Dome 2026 in Frankfurt. He will also play three arena shows in Frankfurt, Düsseldorf and Berlin in September and October 2026.
