Snoop Dogg as a child hero? “Doggyland” is coming to the Toniebox – 24 songs about friendship and respect.
Snoop Dogg is expanding his children’s project “Doggyland” and bringing his Tonie figure onto the market in Germany. The figure is released for the Toniebox and contains 24 English-language songs and rhymes. All content remains in English.
The focus should be on positive messages for younger children. The format aims to convey topics such as friendship, self-confidence and respect in a hip-hop style that is suitable for children.
To understand: Tonies are small listening figures that children can use to play radio plays, music or stories by simply placing them on the box.
How did you come up with the idea?
The figure is based on the YouTube format “Doggyland”, which started in 2022. The series relies on colorful animations, catchy beats and clear learning goals. Each episode combines music with everyday lessons – for example about feelings, conflicts or mindfulness.
The format also addresses typical situations from kindergarten and family. Repetitions and catchy choruses are intended to make the content easier to remember and encourage people to sing along.
Snoop Dogg announced his Tonie character himself:
The characters of the series
The focus is on the dog characters Wags, Chow Wow, Yap Yap and Barks-A-Locks. They experience adventures together and teach social skills. Each character has their own values: Wags stands for curiosity and joy of learning, Yap Yap is particularly lively. Chow Wow wants to convince with self-confidence, while Barks-A-Locks shows compassion and team spirit.
Plus: Snoop Dogg appears as a cartoon character named Bow Wizzle – with sunglasses, a relaxed style and a calm voice.
Not that easy to get
In Germany, advance sales initially start with a limited campaign. Anyone interested must register in advance on the Tonie website. 180 buyers will be selected by lottery.
