Kid Rock is charging up to $5,000 per ticket for his “Freedom 250” tour – even though he has previously sharply criticized ticket prices. All information at a glance.
The rock musician Kid Rock performed in front of supporters of the “MAGA” movement on the “All American Halftime Show” at the beginning of February. The event was organized by the right-wing conservative organization Turning Point USA, founded by activist Charlie Kirk, and was intended as an alternative to Bad Bunny’s halftime show at the 60th Super Bowl. Since then, Kid Rock has continued to make headlines: For example, he defended himself against lip-syncing accusations during his show. Now, however, he is attracting attention with absurdly high ticket prices – although he criticized the development of concert tickets and their prices in the past.
Thousands of dollars for Kid Rock tickets
The singer will soon go on tour. From May 1, 2026 he will be seen on various stages in the USA. His “Freedom 250” tour kicks off in Dallas and includes a total of nine shows in North America. If you want to see the musician live, you’ll have to dig deep into your pockets, as a look at Ticketmaster shows.
Rock sells so-called “first class tickets” for the front row for a whopping $5,000. Tickets for the second row are $4,000, then continue with $3,000 for the third row, $2,000 for the fourth and $1,000 for the fifth row. You might think that anyone who pays the hefty price for such a ticket would enjoy special benefits for the concert experience – but that’s not the case.
However, Kid Rock can also be seen for less money: tickets in the rows of seats cost between 200 and 500 US dollars, depending on the proximity to the stage.
Ticket criticism before Congress
The ticket prices are likely to be at least surprising for all fans, as the musician criticized high ticket prices before the convention earlier this year and supported small independent venues.
He said at the beginning of his speech: “I am here today because I love God, I love this country, I love live music and sport, and I believe that music fans and artists have been disadvantaged by the ticketing system for far too long.”
He subsequently called Ticketmaster and Live Nation an “experiment that failed miserably.” He added: “Independent venues have been destroyed. Artists have lost influence. Fans are paying more than ever – and are being criticized for it.” Kid Rock is now following these words with enormously high ticket prices. His credibility can at least be questioned.
