In 2026, Chinese New Year falls on February 17date closest to the second new moon after the winter solstice. A day that this year also coincided (not by chance) with the presentation of the new one Vespa 946 Horse dedicated to the horse, the animal representative of this celebration and the coming months in the Land of the East. The classic livery has been completely revisited to make it as close as possible to the resemblance of an equine: the Piaggio group’s design department did not take the task lightly.

Under the equine livery the technical basis of the 946 remains intact: a 125 cc air-cooled single-cylinder 4-stroke, credited with 11 HPcombined with automatic transmission. The chassis focuses on agility and control, with 12″ wheelsdisc braking system on both wheels (220 mm front and rear) and safety package complete with dual-channel ABS and ASR traction control. The 8 liter tank completes a technical sheet designed for urban use, but with that “object” care that is now the signature of the editions Lunar. What really makes the difference, as always, are the details: numbering of the example and dedicated finishes (with premium references also on the saddle and contact points, in line with the collectible approach of the series). On the price front, the first indications for the Italian market speak of a price list starting from 12 thousand euros.
