Rob Jetten is about to be installed as the new Prime Minister of our country and that means that for the first time we have a first man to get. “Will he soon also be paid with tax money?”
As the new Prime Minister of our country, Rob Jetten can count on an annual salary of over €200,000. It will be installed shortly after the weekend and then the traditional landing scene will also take place. According to the D66 politician, it is not yet entirely clear whether his beloved Nicolás Keenan, an Argentinian like Queen Máxima, can be there.
No reward
How big a role this one plays first man is not yet entirely clear, according to Evert Santegoeds. “We get a first man. We skipped a female prime minister, but now we are international news with the first openly gay prime minister and his partner next to him,” he says in the podcast Strictly Private.
The Private Boss emphasizes that Nicolas does not get paid. “How that role will be fulfilled? It is entirely up to him how much we will see him, because it is not a paid position, it is not a described position. He is expected to be there on Budget Day, but how much we will see him further, we will discover.”
State visits
Evert would like to see Nicolás every now and then. “I think Nicolás will be there during state visits. Yes, that is surprising in many countries, but very nice. In Argentina they are completely crazy that they have not only delivered the Dutch queen, but now also the Dutch prime minister.”
He concludes: “Ties with Argentina will be strengthened over the next four years. Or for however long it takes…”
