Caroline van der Plas let herself go for a while in the celebrity crying show Het Weren 2 Fantastische Dagen: she threw her biography written by Marcia Nieuwenhuis into the water. “Grow up!“
There is no one Caroline van der Plas hates more than journalist Marcia Nieuwenhuis. She published a book about the politician in 2023, which also contains a chapter about the divorce with her first husband, who is also the father of her children. After publication, a pitchfork barely stuck through Marcia’s windshield.
Assaulted
Caroline was pissed. She said at the time: “My children and I have explicitly told her that she has assaulted our private lives. My children do not want their father in their lives and have valid reasons for this. They have said no to Marcia. Yet Marcia has not respected our wishes. That is an assault on our lives.”
The ex-husband in question, Dennis Grippeling, is a PVV member and works at frikandellen manufacturer Mora. He states that he does not see his children because they are afraid of Caroline. “Do you ever see her in the House of Representatives? When they say ‘triple B’ instead of BBB, she goes on a huge rant. Then she is aggrieved and bossy. Those boys know their mother inside and out.”
Incredible
Anyway: Caroline was on the SBS 6 show last weekend It was 2 fantastic days confronted with that book. The result? That thing was inside no time outside in the water. “I find Caroline van der Plas incredible. She is a politician, but she has actually become a reality star,” says media journalist Mark Koster in The Media Week.
“She sits at Shownieuws, chats about showbiz and then gets very angry in that program that a book is presented to her, a critical biography, and she throws it at that guy… What’s that DJ’s name? Ruud de Wild. She throws that biography into the water! And then they laugh about it. I think that goes beyond all bounds.”
Completely angry
Why does Mark think that? “For a politician, eh? How small are you? Because that lady (Marcia Nieuwenhuis, ed.) — that’s a friend of mine who is now on the RTL research team — calls her husband for that biography and asks a question. She gets really angry and says: ‘You can’t put that down!'”
He continues: “A journalist can really decide for herself whether she puts that in. And the fact that that lady is still angry about that, that goes much, much too far. Grow up! She throws that book in the water, doesn’t she? What is this?! I don’t care, because if that lady has 51 percent of the seats, she says: ‘We’re going to burn that book!’”
Unreliable
Mark thinks the BBB foreman is a terrible person. “I don’t trust Caroline van der Plas! I think she is a woman who cannot handle criticism, passive aggressive responds to something she disagrees with. And then she sits there in a house with Estelle Cruijff and Ruud de Wild, and he throws Olcay Gulsen under the bus.”
“I also think it’s bad that those people don’t get a chance to be heard at all. That’s very strange, isn’t it? Olcay Gulsen denies it, but it’s all being broadcast. That’s not possible at all, is it?”
Disrespectful
No, Mark is completely done with Caroline. “She’s at Shownieuws and chats about Prince Andrew, so to speak. Come on. Come onCaroline van der Plas. I think that’s a bit like handing out, but she can’t collect. She is very bad at taking the hit.”
“I think it’s outrageous that she says: ‘Just throw it away!’ Just act normal for a moment, dude. We don’t say about you: ‘Just throw it away!’ I just think it’s disrespectful.”
