The Winter Olympics have been in full swing in Milan, Italy, since February 4, 2026. The best winter athletes will fight for the coveted medals until February 22nd. Now, surprisingly, pop singer Taylor Swift is also involved, but not as an athlete.

On Monday, February 16, 2026, the US broadcaster NBC released a promotional video for three Olympians from the US team. These are Alyssa Liu, Amber Glenn and Isabeau Levito, a figure skating trio also known as “The Blade Angels”.
The video in question is accompanied by Taylor Swift’s song “Opalite”. But that’s not all: the artist herself is also represented in the video, where you can hear her voice speaking offscreen. She says in the clip: “Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to introduce you to Amber, Alysa and Isabeau, three American showgirls on ice who will delight you with their stories.” The singer then tells a short background story about each of the three athletes.

Taylor Swift on the “Blade Angels”
The 36-year-old has this to say about Amber Glenn: “Amber will be the first to tell you how many battles she has fought and how the battles she lost meant just as much to her as the battles she won. Her superpower now is to take the fight and challenge the world to test her confidence.”
About Alysa Liu, the performer added: “As for Alysa, she gave up figure skating at 16, but later returned on her own terms. Now joy drives her. Every jump is a celebration. Every performance is a testament to the beauty of knowing yourself.”
She then said of Isabeau Levito: “And then Isabeau. I mean, she’s destiny personified. Her mother grew up in Milan, and her Nonna, her grandmother, lived exactly 13 minutes from the Olympic skating rink. When you skate like you’re meant to be there, history has a strange way of showing itself.”
Taylor Swift herself recently released a new music video for the song “Opalite”, which can also be heard in the promo video.
Taylor Swift also wished the US athletes good luck with a self-filmed video during the opening ceremony of the Winter Games.
