The Sabu trading association has a new name. While the company was previously called Samu Schuh & Marketing GmbH, it has now been operating as Sabu GmbH since this month. With the renaming, the company wants to clarify its expanded range of services.
“Successful support in retail today means much more than just ‘shoes and marketing’,” the association explained in a statement on Monday. Sabu has therefore “consistently developed and expanded its range of services in recent years”. The previous name “Shoe & Marketing” has “no longer done justice to the scope of services for several years”.
Managing director Stephan Krug explained the renaming. “We take our mission to support our partners from trade and industry very seriously. We react quickly and network beyond our areas of expertise. What is crucial is that our services reach the dealer and that they fit the reality of the industry,” he explained in a statement. “Therefore, the adapted name is more than a formal step for us. It is a clear commitment to our claim to think about retail holistically and always stay ‘close to it’ in the most important areas of activity and thus beyond ‘shoe & marketing’.”
