Singer Kaija Koo tells Mightily in an interview that artificial intelligence has been used in the film about him.
According to Kaija Koo, the song of Oona Airola, who plays her, has been modified in the film.
– Artificial intelligence was used in some songs. Because of the sound, a little more of my voice was put there, says Kaija Koo on Yle.
However, Kaija Koo says that she doesn’t think the intention was for Airola to sound identical to her. According to the singer, the most significant thing about the film was the actor’s intense interpretation, in which Airola Kaija Koo succeeded well.
Kaija Koo also praised Airola’s performance in an interview with Iltalehti.
– Here, the masking has been top class. Oona has internalized Kaija Koo. He’s the best at it. I can’t imagine who else could have acted but Oona, Kaija Koo told Iltalehte at the film’s press screening.

Oona Airola described the making of the film’s song scenes earlier in Helsingin Sanomat.
– Making the song scenes in the film was horrible. It was damn embarrassing to sing badly in front of a crowd of hundreds of assistants, I’ve never experienced such infernal shame. But I had to choose between singing badly and acting badly. I don’t even know what my song will be used in the final film, Airola said.
