Former American President Barack Obama has responded for the first time to current President Donald Trump’s racist video in which he and his wife Michelle are depicted as monkeys. According to him, there seems to be ‘no more shame’. “There’s a kind of clown show going on on social media and on television,” he says.
White supremacy
Humberto Tan is now completely done with it. “Trump’s entire cabinet depends on one big concept: white supremacy. Plan 2025. Make America Great Again is Make America White Again“he says in the podcast This Is America.
Co-host Michiel Vos then: “Okay, yes, I can’t blame you. That is a lens… I’m just saying: it is ONE lens through which you can look at America, that it is all about white-black and that Trump doesn’t like black. It keeps seeping through and spouting out and they try to stop it a bit…”
Racist duck
Humberto is really done with it. “Yeah, man. When you ask the question, ‘Is Trump a racist?’ If it walks like a duck, it sounds like a duck, it’s a duck. A racist duck as f*ck.”
Opinions about Humberto’s statements are divided. So Kay says X: “Uhm, now I don’t think this is a clear light and nonsense often comes out, but he just has a point. This is literally the agenda that Trump is trying to roll out, imposed by his rich(er) friends.”
Extreme
Sander is disappointed in Michiel Vos. “I thought that Michiel was not even one of the most extreme. He occasionally brought some nuance into the past, despite his mother-in-law. He has now completely abandoned that. Anyway, three quarters of the Netherlands are once again falling for it with their eyes open.”
Daeng is annoyed by Humberto. “For years, Tan has only been complaining about slavery and discrimination, even though he had the red carpet rolled out for him precisely because of his origins.”
Unsustainable
Niels believes that Humberto cannot make these statements because of his position. “An activist like Tan (Van Erven Dorens, same) is untenable as a presenter of a talk show at ‘prime time’ on an important channel. Anyway, RTL Tonight doesn’t have a long life it seems to me,” says Niels.
A certain Bennie concludes: “There is a lot wrong with Trump, his ideas and the people around him, but I think this is very far-fetched.”
