Bud Cort, the actor known for the Ugly Betty and Coyote Ugly series, has died at the age of 77.

Actor Bud Cort has died at the age of 77. Among other things, the news covered the matter BBC and Mirror.
Corti’s close friend and producer Dorian Hannaway tells the BBC that the actor died after a long illness. Corti will be missed, among others, by his brothers Joseph Coxhis sister-in-law Vicky and nieces.
Barbra Streisand83, sister actress Roslyn Kind75, remembers his dead friend in a statement.
– I was only 14 when I met Bud at the door of the back room of my sister’s play. Bud was studying art at the time in high school. We became close friends who shared an interest in entertainment, says Kind.
– When I got married, Bud and our songwriter friend Bruce Roberts wrote a special song for me that was performed at the wedding ceremony. His unique spirit will always be with me, he adds at the end.

Born in New York, Cort appeared in more than 80 films and TV series. Cort is known, among other things, for his roles Ugly Betty-, Coyote Ugly– and Criminal Minds in series.
In addition, he has starred in, among other things Harold & Maude – a cult classic. The film brought him Golden Globe and Bafta nominations. Cort worked steadily throughout his career in supporting roles in several films such as Heat, Dogma and Invaders from Mars.
