While Angela de Jong occasionally appears on Eva Jinek’s guest list, we never see Tina Nijkamp sitting at the table there. And while she is currently the most important TV announcer. Why is that?
Tina Nijkamp has more or less succeeded Angela de Jong as the most important TV announcer on television. As the only public source of linear viewing figures, she has an advantage: the entire TV world watches on her analysis channel what the Netherlands watched the night before. And that gives Tina considerable influence.
Giebelbutt
Despite that stature, we never see Tina sitting at Eva’s table. Is that because Tina is too critical of her talk show? She now expresses it in her podcast The Media Week also criticized the fact that Eva did not respond when Youp van ‘t Hek shouted at the table that Mona Keijzer ‘lied the whole thing together’. Eva should have corrected that, Mona thinks.
Eva doesn’t do that because she giggles too much with her regular guests, says Tina. “I think Eva should be careful that she doesn’t always start giggling. She becomes such a giggler, right, and that’s where things go wrong. I also think that she regrets that she didn’t ask further questions. I think she realizes: guys, you’re right, critics.”
Home whistler
She will really realize her mistake, Tina thinks. “She also thinks: I should have asked more about this. Like: you’re right, Mona, I should have asked more about this. I think so too. She should have asked a follow-up question. She has to be careful not to become too grumpy.”
Colleague Mark Koster: “Well, she is always a bit of a home whistler, like: ‘Today at the table: Tina Nijkamp, the best husband’, unless you are Van Vroonhoven, who is already on the floor, then she will take the ax to it. But she would never tackle you harshly.”
No invitation
Tina gently points out that she is never Eva’s guest. “No, she would never invite me either. Because she invites people she likes and I don’t think she likes me very much after all the criticism, so I don’t think I’ll be sitting there anytime soon.”
Would she be open to it? Yes. “If I have something to say, but no, I’m not concerned with that at all.”
Management circle
Moreover, Eva mainly draws guests from celebrities who work for the same management as she does, says Tina. “What I find so striking about Eva Jinek – yes, and now I never come to the table anymore, but I don’t have to, right, that’s why I don’t care at all – is that she very often invites people from the same management circle.”
She points out that Rob Kemps is always at the table when it comes to France. Rob also has the same manager as Eva. “I find that remarkable. Perhaps she sat with her manager and thought: we should make Rob a France expert. I think that on all topics about France, Rob Kemps is now at the table.”
