Was Glennis Grace really groped by an old grandfather with a walking stick during her performance in Maastricht? According to an insider, the perpetrator was not an elderly person at all. “It was the standard!”
Glennis Grace ended her performance at the so-called Hierezitting in Maastricht — some pre-Carnival event — prematurely after a guest started touching her. It is said to be an old grandfather with a walking stick, but according to an insider, that is not true at all. The misbehaving man would be anything but very old.
No walking stick
Glennis himself does not comment on what exactly happened, but according to an insider, no walking stick was involved at all. It is said to be the former owner of a former discotheque in Limburg.
“It was only the microphone stand that Glennis Grace had just taken the microphone from and not the walking stick,” says the insider. “He tried to go under her dress with it. But Glennis quickly got hold of another standard to deal a blow with.”
Unacceptable
Glennis himself doesn’t reveal much about it. She did, however, repost the organization’s statement. They speak of an ‘unacceptable incident’. “A visitor showed inappropriate behavior, which resulted in the performance being terminated. We never tolerate such behavior. Safety and respect for the artists always come first.”
Glennis adds: “Sexually inappropriate behavior! It’s nice that I am taken seriously, but I am painfully aware that this does not apply to all women and young girls…”
Eddy responds
Eddy Reijner, Glennis’ friend, also supports her via Instagram. He says: “You are my beautiful wife and I love you.🖤 I will always protect you and stand up for you like I did. The bottom line is that I would stand up for any woman in these types of situations, no woman should be treated like that.”
Glennis then: “You have shown that there are also men who can actually stand up for women in such situations. Now I am your woman in this story and as always you stood in front of, behind, next to me. Love you. 💜”
