Musician Pepe Willberg has been in the headlines in recent months because he is suspected of hitting a woman cyclist in her fifties with her car in Helsinki.
Pepe commented on the matter to Iltalehte at Storyville’s 33rd birthday. Pepe and his wife Pauliina Visuri-Willberg are unaware of the current situation.
– I have not been informed about the opinion of the other side, Pepe states.
Pauliina is next to me.
– Nothing is known. Someone has said that it can take up to a year. Fortunately, it hasn’t been worse.
Pepe states that he has driven “a few million kilometers” during his life. The suspected collision is the first of its kind.
– Everything has happened, but at this point I am considered guilty of something.
Doubts about the collision, however, do not weigh on Willberg’s mind.
– Nothing compares.
However, Pauliina states that the situation was a shock at first.
– At first, of course, I was terribly shocked, but now of course I have to go ahead and work.
– I have sadder things to think about, like the fact that I’m terribly old, Pepe laughs.
Pepe will be eighty years old in December. This year also marks the sixty-year anniversary of Pepe’s mega hit You will bring a man to tears. So there is plenty to celebrate.
– I don’t know how my booze head can take all this, Pepe shakes.
The anniversary year includes, among other things, a joint performance with the Vantaa Viihdeorkester in March at the Helsinki Music Hall. Later, Pepe will be seen with the Saimaa band at Kaivopuisto and at his own gig at Allas Sea Pool.
The singer’s voice shines with satisfaction with her work.
– When you get to spend time with good music, it’s just going home, says Pepe.
