RRome, 7 Feb. (askanews) – Turkish artist Refik Anadol is one of the witnesses who shares his reflections on AI in the documentary by Valerio Jalongo “Wider Than The Sky – Bigger than the sky”in Italian cinemas on 9, 10 and 11 February. This is an amazing film that reveals the true nature of Artificial Intelligence in the era of collective intelligence and tries to answer some questions of our time: what is AI really? An extraordinary opportunity, a global risk, or a great illusion?
The director investigates these themes by immersing himself in an extremely fascinating universewhich probes through the tools of science, poetry and art. Filmed between Europe, the United States and Japan, the film brings together neuroscientists, philosophers, artists and humanoid robots to question the future of humanity in the face of a technology that is redefining our lives. According to Jalongo, in fact, the real challenge is to decide whether this revolution will be used to concentrate power or to build an open and democratic future.
“Wider Than The Sky” was created in collaboration with the European scientific community of the Human Brain Project and the Sasha Waltz Dance Company. The film’s protagonists are world-renowned thinkers and innovators, including neuroscientists Antonio Damasio and Andrea Moro, political scientist Rob Reich, choreographer Sasha Waltz, artist Sougwen Chung and the robots Anymal and Ameca, who show the points of contact between neuroscientific research, performing arts and advanced robotics.
