The Norwegian Mental Health Council has suspended its cooperation with the Crown Princess of Norway Mette-Marit’s with. Mette-Marit is a significant patron of the organization.
Secretary General of the organization Tove Gundersen tells VG– to a Norwegian newspaper that the decision is based on Mette-Marit’s situation.
– We received a letter on Friday in which the crown princess was open and clear. The letter revealed that the crown princess is in a challenging situation as a whole and asked for more time to gather herself. We think it’s only fair that he gets it.
According to Gundersen, the organization intends to keep its cooperation with Mette-Marit on ice for the rest of the year.
– It is important to emphasize that we renounce violence, human trafficking and sexual abuse. We believe that prevention, information and victims need the most attention now. Victims need help, recognition and care. We must never forget the victims and their families, says Gundersen.
Mette-Marit is currently in the middle of the commotion with the newly released Jeffrey Epstein because of the materials. Epstein was convicted of human trafficking in 2008 and served 13 months in prison. According to the Norwegian media, Mette-Marit seems to have known about Epstein’s background.
