The orange alert measure was necessary in the face of a drastic worsening of atmospheric conditions, with a high risk window that will extend for at least 24-30 hours from today’s evening. The bulletins indicate the arrival of storm-like showers, capable of discharging large quantities of water in a very short time, saturating the land already tested by the rains of recent days.

There is therefore concern for the Olympic stadium: Sport e Salute, owner of the facility, has decided to preserve the turf of the pitch with tarpaulins to protect the spectacle on the pitch for the fans who will mark the sold out stadium and for the millions who will follow the match on TV, as well as to also protect the health of the players making their debut in the Six Nations. Tarpaulins which will naturally be removed during training on Friday, and will then be repositioned.
