Bad Bunny is currently experiencing one of the most successful weeks of his career to date. Last Sunday, February 1, 2026, he won three Grammys, and next Sunday, February 6, 2026, he will perform at the Super Bowl on one of the largest stages in the world. Now his streaming numbers are also going through the roof.
Album of the Year with Spanish-language production
Bad Bunny’s big week started with winning Album of the Year for his latest album, Debi Tirar Mas Photos. The production was the first all-Spanish language to win the ceremony’s top prize. The Puerto Rican-born American Latin rap and reggaeton singer was visibly touched by the honor and used the stage for what was probably the most sensational speech of the evening.
So he became quite political and began his acceptance speech with the words: “Before I thank God, I say: ICE out!” It continued: “We are not savages, we are not animals, we are not aliens – we are human and we are Americans.” With this he made a clear statement against the radical actions of the customs and immigration authorities ICE against Latin American migrants in the USA.
Streaming numbers are reaching a new high
It’s not uncommon for Grammy winners’ streaming and sales numbers to increase significantly. With Bad Bunny, however, this increase after his appearance at the ceremony is enormous and very noticeable. According to Luminate, its catalog reached a whopping 36 million on-demand streams in the U.S. on Monday, February 2, the day after the Grammys, while selling 3,000 digital singles. This is an increase of 117 or 591 percent compared to Monday of the previous week.
Around 16 million streams and 2,000 of the singles sold came from the album “Debi Tirar Mas Photos”, the exact work that was honored at the Grammys. This corresponds to an increase of 240 or 903 percent compared to Monday of the previous week.
The 31-year-old also dominates both the Spotify and Apple Music charts. The song “DtMF” in particular stood out here. The song’s streaming numbers quadrupled compared to Monday of the previous week, increasing from 733,000 to 2.7 million – a growth of 273 percent. In total, the song already has 1.3 billion streams.
New chart high expected?
The rapper’s success is also likely to have an impact on the charts. Several songs from his current album are likely to find their way back into the “Billboard Hot 100”, even before his appearance at the Super Bowl. This event should also bring the artist and his album significantly forward, so it can be expected that Bad Bunny will be back in the charts later in February 2026.
