Paul de Leeuw has tried to get Monique Hansler into his current, highly criticized season of Ranking the Stars. “I would have really liked that too,” says the reality star of SBS 6.
Actually, everyone agrees: it is sad how Paul de Leeuw is filling out the twilight of his TV career. It is bizarre that Peter van der Vorst has put the new season of Ranking the Stars on RTL 4 at all, because this year’s cast is very much B-level. There is even someone named Sjorleone, known for Temptation Island-like TV.

Monique Hansler now tells Show news that Paul also wanted to snare her. “I was asked to do that, yes. I would have really liked that too, but yes, it didn’t happen.”
“I have been asked a lot. Girls in the Jungle, I have been asked by Paul de Leeuw. Yes, a lot of programs, also with Mike. We have also been asked for the Hunting Season, Te Land Ter Zee and in the Snow, but we have not done that either. We have not actually accepted anything yet, because we are in Seefeld or Spain. Yes, no time.”

What does Monique think of her newest daughter-in-law? She is known as a ‘mother-in-law’, so the big question is: are the first cracks visible yet? “Veerle and Mike are doing very well. They are now in Spain of course and they will come here tomorrow and then we will do fun things.”
She continues: “We have some appointments and something very nice: we are at a holiday fair. If you want to know a lot about that, you should definitely come there. Journalists certainly!”
‘It’s bizarre!’
Monique clearly enjoys all the attention. “We are approached a lot for a photo and a nice chat. We are also imitated a lot on TikTok. That’s bizarre, hahaha. No, I don’t care. They can do anything from me. As long as they’re having fun.”
Will there be a second season of her SBS 6 soap? “Well, I don’t know all that yet. That is very exciting of course. Yes, let’s wait and see.”
