The love story between Dove and Damiano began at the end of 2023, thanks to the MTV Video Music Awards ceremony of that year, but their first meeting dates back to the year beforeagain on the occasion of the event organized by MTV. That face to face, however, it hadn’t gone in the best way: “Damiano was backstage, so he barely looked at me. He didn’t give off friendly vibes at all. I was like, ‘That guy hates my guts,'” Dove said during her appearance on Alex Cooper’s podcast, Call Her Daddy.

In that period, however, Damiano was in a deep crisis with his longtime girlfriend, the influencer Giorgia Soleri: “Then I discovered that he was simply going through a very difficult period. It had nothing to do with me, but I took it personally”, continued the 30-year-old before telling what happened the next yearwhen they met at the Prudential Center in Newark: “He was single, I was single, he was better and I was better. He was super nice. And then he said to me: ‘Do you want to come to our concert at Madison Square Garden?’. The answer was immediate: ‘Yes'”.

Thus began their love story. Since that meeting Dove and Damiano became inseparable and over the course of these more than two years they have not missed an opportunity to show themselves happier than ever, between events, social sharing and declarations of love. “I get emotional at least once a week, because life has become so wonderful since you were here. I love you in a way that no words can ever express, but I will never stop trying. Happy anniversary, my love,” the actress wrote on Instagram last October, on the occasion of their second anniversary.

A few weeks later the marriage proposal arrived from the Roman singer-songwriter, announced via social media at the end of January: “It will be a beautiful year”, he wrote the 27 year old on Instagram, suggesting that the fateful yes will arrive by the end of 2026on a date and place yet to be revealed to the public.
