In concrete terms, there are 227 professions on the new list. This is similar to previous years. Traditionally, there are many technical professions such as site manager or industrial electromechanic. Nursing also remains a major shortage profession, just like accountants, truck drivers, horticultural workers or catering staff.
New to the list are railway employee, soldier-sailor, beautician and personal assistant for people with disabilities.
