Dennis Schröder celebrated a successful debut in the NBA for the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The German national team captain’s new team won the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday night with 124:91. Schröder came off the bench in his debut and scored eleven points in 19 minutes. He also had two rebounds and six assists. The Cavs’ best thrower was Donovan Mitchell (29).
Schröder was sent to Cleveland by the Sacramento Kings last Sunday; the Cavaliers are already his eleventh stop in the NBA. With the team from Ohio, which now has 31 wins and 21 defeats, Schröder has the best playoff prospects in the East and an outside chance of the title.
Schröder will soon be in a team with Harden
In Cleveland, Schröder will act as a back-up at the point guard position for superstar James Harden, whom head coach Kenny Atkinson’s team only brought in from the Clippers shortly before the end of the transfer period.
