The women’s Bundesliga continues to struggle with the weather conditions. The game between Eintracht Frankfurt and TSG Hoffenheim, which had already been postponed once, was canceled again at short notice.
The catch-up game between Eintracht Frankfurt and TSG Hoffenheim in the women’s Bundesliga scheduled for Wednesday evening was canceled at short notice due to the pitch being unplayable. This was announced by the German Football Association (DFB). However, the association has already set a new date: the third attempt will now take place on March 18th at 6 p.m.
The cancellation is part of a series of weather-related game cancellations that have occurred since the league restarted in January. In addition to the game between Frankfurt and Hoffenheim, which was originally scheduled to take place from January 25th, other high-profile matches could not be held as planned.
Among the games affected were the away games of the double winners FC Bayern Munich and VfL Wolfsburg at Carl Zeiss Jena. The Thuringian club has not been able to play two important home games so far.
