The Swiss textile retailer Metro Boutique is continuing its expansion course. On Wednesday, the company announced it would open another store in April. It chose the Glatt shopping center in Wallisellen as its location. According to the retailer, this is one of the “most innovative, busiest and highest-turnover shopping centers in the country”.
With the new opening, which will have an area of around 750 square meters, Metro Boutique is expanding its presence in the canton of Zurich to three stores. At the same time, it sends “a clear signal for the future of stationary Swiss retail,” according to a statement.
Urs Glauser, the co-CEO of Metro Boutiques AG, explained the choice of location. “We are very pleased to become part of Glatt with Metro Boutique,” he said in a statement. “The location allows us to experience our brand in a modern, highly frequented environment and to further expand our community.”
