A part of the minehunter’s exhaust system overheated and began to smoke. There was no fire. The Bruges fire brigade cooled the heated zones. The crew was unharmed, says Defense Minister Theo Francken. He calls it a remarkable incident. Just yesterday, two men were arrested in Germany for possibly trying to sabotage naval ships. Defense is looking for the cause.
