In the first episode of the new season of The Harlin Show podcast, Renny and Johanna Harlin talk about their new life change.
The Harlins have moved. Earlier, the couple vowed to live in their former home longer.
– Suddenly everything changed. We’ve been looking at a new house for two years now, but we haven’t found anything, Johanna describes in the episode.
– It’s been a bit of a hobby. We like it. We drive, look and check what’s in this world. Then, like a bolt from a clear sky… Renny continues his search for the house.
– We found our dream house. A perfect dream house! Johanna is happy.
Renny says the family is moving outside of Miami, a little north. The new residential area is completely fenced, and you cannot enter it without an identity card.
– We are still close to the beach. Our house actually has its own water area that starts right at the edge of our yard. A lovely yard, of course, swimming pools and all that stuff, areas for children to play, Renny lists.
Johanna describes it as a big change for the whole family. The biggest change is that the new house is more in the middle of nature than before. The Harlins used to live in Miami’s South Beach, which is known for its parties, restaurants and active lifestyle. If it weren’t for the children, they probably would have stayed in South Beach as well, as they liked the pulsating atmosphere of the neighborhood.
However, the Harlins wanted to move to the middle of nature, especially for their children. They wanted to influence what children see in their everyday life. In the past, children’s retinas were filled with Rolls-Royces, people who underwent cosmetic surgery, and constant luxury and glamour.
– Which is not completely real, Renny adds.
– I can’t say that I didn’t enjoy it. I will say that it motivated me and I wanted to work harder myself, I was inspired. But is it best for children? No. It’s not, Johanna answers.
Renny describes him and Johanna as lovers of nature. According to Renny, the new environment will be good for their souls. The new area has a more peaceful lifestyle and people are more family oriented. According to Johanna, there are better quality schools in the area, but also nice cafes and restaurants.
– We don’t want the children to be in a school where six-year-olds compare Gucci shoes or Prada bags. When going to another’s home in the village, the servant brings juice with white gloves on a silver tray, says Renny.
– There is real life here. Feet on the ground. Yes, this area will also be an area inhabited by successful, wealthy people, but still more normal people, no crazy surface joiners, Renny concludes.
Renny and Johanna are currently expecting a third child in their family. The future little one is a boy.
